I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
